The world is getting mad. What’s happening to the once good old memories? Were they just easily forgotten and thrown down the sink? I think that’s a stupid thing to do.

It is an unhidden fact that humans have flaws and will always have flaws. We all are sinners even if we don’t know it. I tell you, we have done something wrong that we never knew it was already something wrong after all. Why is this? Humans as we are, we are naturally selfish and self centered. We want ourselves to have the best bargain before anybody else does. We want to have the best of everything before somebody else gets it. And sometimes other people will do everything no matter what happens for them to get it. That is something very moronic. I can’t really get it. I mean I know that I am as well like this but how come other people are just too much?

People are naturally greedy according to a writer or philosopher I think. I already forgot his name but I’m pretty sure that a scholarly individual claimed this in one of his studies. I believe that this is something true. Look at the world today, people wants to be in power. Let’s say here in the Philippines, many individuals want to hold government powers and they will do everything to attain it. They would badmouth each other like children fighting over a single candy. Isn’t that so pathetic? I mean, instead of doing that, why not help each other to at least alleviate the status of our beloved country. But I don’t think that this is possible for as what that writer or philosopher who I have already forgotten said, man is naturally greedy.

People on the other hand are very emotional especially when the situations are directed to them but if not they tend to be apathetic. Well, not all though. There are those who are very much willing to cry with you for as long as you want just to make you feel better. However, there are those who will completely feel indifferent if it’s not their situation. In other words, they don’t give a damn. “It’s none of my business so why should I mingle with it?” will be their act. I know I’m not exempted but it’s just that I can’t understand why. Maybe because like what that writer or philosopher who I have already forgotten said, man is naturally greedy. To be simple, selfish.

And because of this selfishness some would even wish bad to others. They talk bad about that person if in reality that person hasn’t done anything bad to them. Let’s say, the first is just executing his or her duties. He or she is just functioning as what he or she is expected to do. If the others will get affected by that person’s, let’s say personal or professional action, in a negative way then I think it’s not good to talk bad about him or her. If it’s hard for you then it’s the same to that person. The feeling is mutual in the end because in fact we are all in a system where one person’s action can affect a great majority.

Well, the truth is I really don’t know what I wrote. I just typed everything that came out of my mind. If I hurt somebody’s feelings then sorry. I don’t mean to offend somebody or any race. I was born bringing the sign of freedom so this is my own way of practicing it. I am not a very vocal person. I always find refuge in my computer but if not in any pen and paper. I know this will never be easy but again as what that writer or philosopher who I have already forgotten said, man is naturally greedy. But Conrad says, “one large fries and coke please.”
